We are currently searching for a dedicated Tool & Die Designer to join our team.

Our facility is open 7 days per week with 1st and 2nd shifts working Monday – Thursday and a Weekend shift on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

What is a Tool & Die Designer?

A tool and die designer is a professional responsible for creating and designing the tools, dies, and molds used in the manufacturing of various products. These specialized individuals work closely with engineers and machinists to develop precision tools that are essential in shaping and forming metals. The role involves using computer-aided design (CAD) software, mathematical calculations, and technical knowledge to design tools that meet specific manufacturing requirements. Tool and die designers play a crucial role in the production process, ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of manufacturing operations.

In this role, you will:

Design tools and manage our CAD files for the purpose of manufacturing in our tool room.

Provide designs that are manufacturable, accurate, and meet project scope.

Work with departments in the plant to ensure work conveys correct information and is error-free.

Select and recommend use of layouts, graphics, drawings or illustrations to amplify publication objectives.

Use SolidWorks/LogoPress software to produce drawings from specifications, sketches, existing drawings, images, and other forms of communication.

To succeed in this role, you must:

Possess 3+ years of experience as a Tool Designer

Possess excellent working knowledge of SolidWorks, LogoPress knowledge is desired.

Possess a strong background in progressive die design, metal working materials, mechanics, and heat treating.

Possess experience in a metal stamping environment (i.e. knowledge of presses and different dies used in metal stamping such as progressive, draw, miscellaneous, etc.)

Possess experience and familiarity with CNC machine tools and parts making.

We are seeking a team player who is reliable and punctual and willing to commit to our fabrication team having fun while working safe and producing quality efficiently. We are also willing to train the correct individuals!

Our cutting edge, 100,000 square foot manufacturing facility is equipped with:

  • Wire EDM
  • CNC Machining Centers
  • Grinders
  • CNC turret punches (20 to 35 tons)
  • Lasers (Up to 4000 Watts 60×120 sheet size)
  • CNC press brakes (45 to 185 tons)
  • Punch presses (Progressive and Staged Tooling) (45 to 250 tons)
  • Resistance welders (75 KVA to 250 KVA)
  • Robotic Weld Cell
  • Tig, Mig, Plasma and Pulse Arc welding
