Job Overview: The Packer is responsible for preparing finished products for shipment by packing, labeling, and inspecting items to ensure they meet quality and customer requirements. This role plays a critical part in maintaining product integrity, accuracy, and efficiency in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Pack finished products according to work instructions, customer specifications, and company standards.
- Inspect products for defects, damage, or incorrect quantities prior to packing.
- Apply correct labels, documentation, and packaging materials to ensure accurate shipments.
- Assemble boxes, crates, or other packaging materials as required.
- Maintain accurate counts and records of packed items.
- Follow all safety procedures and use required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Keep work area clean, organized, and compliant with 5S and safety standards.
- Communicate packing issues, shortages, or quality concerns to supervisors.
- Meet productivity and shipping deadlines while maintaining quality standards.
- Perform other tasks as assigned and required.
Qualifications:
- Previous packing, warehouse, or manufacturing experience preferred.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
- Strong attention to detail and basic math skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production goals.
- Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented.
